Art & Life with Cristina Rosenberg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cristina Rosenberg.

Cristina, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
When I was 14 years old a friend of the family asked me to create a painting for a charity event. To my surprise, my painting sold quickly. This event inspired me to develop my passion and paint throughout my life. Painting has always been a hobby of mine till an art collector asked to purchase one of my pieces, and now I want to share my paintings with others.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
The most important element of my paintings is the vibrant colors. I prefer painting in oil on large-scale canvas where I can freely explore with transparency and brushstrokes. My Brazilian heritage and the French Impressionists inspire my style. I grew up in Rio de Janeiro where the culture is vibrant and colorful. When I was 15 I traveled to Europe where I was drawn to the colors and texture of Renoir’s paintings. My subject matters are inspired by my surrounding scenery and travels. I like to celebrate the beauty of the world around me, and hope that my paintings are uplifting for my collectors.

How do you think about success, as an artist, and what quality do you feel is most helpful?
My art has always been personally enriching and in this capacity I already feel successful. Sharing my arts with others and bringing them joy would be icing on the cake.
