Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaac Escobar.
Isaac, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I’m a hobby photographer who resides in the outskirts of Los Angeles. I started taking photos like most of us do with my phone. I was always attracted to the big city and urban views. With time I decided to invest in a DSLR. I began to walk around and flick what I found interesting. In this time I met other people with my same interests. They have really helped me in my progress. I can say that these past 3years of my life behind the lens have been the most interesting and productive I’ve had. I’ve had opportunities to work on special events I never thought I could ever be part of.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I’m a photographer. My influences come from a lot of my friends or colleagues. I base my style around urban and landscape photography.
Artists rarely, if ever pursue art for the money. Nonetheless, we all have bills and responsibilities, and many aspiring artists are discouraged from pursuing art due to financial reasons. Any advice or thoughts you’d like to share with prospective artists?
The only advice I can give people who are on any creative path is to have patience. With time everything falls into place. The less you rush and have everything in order the more success you will have. Another key is to ask questions, find people with the same interests as yourself and learn from them. You will be really surprised by how many people are open to help you out.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
I don’t have a website, but if you are interested you can find all of my public work on my Instagram @eye.sick
