Today we’d like to introduce you to The Sweats.
The Sweats, formerly dubber ‘The Melting Suns,’ are a pop rock band from Rancho Cucamonga that formed in 2014. The band consists of cousins Anthony De La Rosa and Zach Cardenas, along with best friends Jake Cruz and Gio Borello. When the band first formed, They could only play during the summer due to members living out of state, but in 2016 all graduated high school and pursued music full force. After many changes in influence and sound, the band decided to change their name to ‘The Sweats’ in 2018 and begin a new chapter in their musical journey.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
We make music to dance and cry to. We hope to inspire people to let go and feel things. We want our music and shows to be a place where people can channel their emotions into dancing and having a blast with friends and loved ones.
Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
Make what you love and be honest. People can tell when you’re faking it, so as long as you create something you’re proud of and believe in, that’s all that matters. Don’t aim to please the crowd.
