Briana Robinson shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Briana, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
In my tattooing career, what I am most proud of—though few may see it—is the harmony within my shop. With my manager, David, we’ve built a family of 15 artists whose personalities and talents flow together beautifully. Creating a space where people truly love to work side by side fills my heart with joy every day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m the owner of BUJU Tattoo, a shop filled with a beautiful rainbow of artists and styles. No matter who walks through our doors, there’s someone they’ll connect with. Personally, I love working with real flowers, and each artist here brings their own unique touch to the table—together, we’ve created something truly special.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I believe bonds break when we lose connection, but they’re restored through love and remembrance. Tattooing is magical in that way—so many people come to honor loved ones they’ve lost. A tattoo becomes a living reminder, a symbol that the love they shared is still here, keeping that bond alive forever.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
I lean most on my husband, Loni. He’s my rock— honest, grounded, and thoughtful. He never just tells me what I want to hear, but what I truly need to hear, and that kind of love and honesty is something I treasure deeply.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m with my husband, Loni, or my son, Eleven—being with them grounds me completely. I also find peace in simple joys like riding my bike, practicing yoga, tattooing, or spending time at the beach. And when I’m back in Connecticut with my family, my heart feels perfectly at home.
