Hi Brianne , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I am most proud about building that nobody sees. The work/life balance my business has given me The ability to be present in my daughter’s lives. The ability to have more time for my family and help my husband with his health. My husband is a survivor of a traumatic brain injury. When I worked as an employee I had no control over time. I was required to be on-call when I was not booked. I was required to be available when I was not with clients during my shifts. I was not booked with clients nor could I use that time to take care of my family’s needs. This is what prompted me to step out in faith and turn my part-time mobile spa business into full time work. This gave me the freedom I need to serve my family when I am not with clients. This was the breakthrough I needed to serve my clients better and my family. Even though on the outside it may appear as though I am always only working. I am very much involved at home during my gaps in my schedule.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My brand/business is results drive/advanced skin care services. Pain management massage therapy. 5 star luxury services that are customized to your individual needs so you receive the maximum results from your facials and pain relief and releasing tension from the body. My services are convenient, fully mobile the come to you. There is nothing basic about my services They are designed to deliver high quality services.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with God shapes how I see myself. My identity is found in Christ Jesus. I am who he says I am. I see myself through God’s eyes.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
It was around the year of 2013 when I realized it was time to stop subjecting myself to the pain and hardships I was going through working as an employee for other people’s business. I started to dream again. I did not want to be like some of my co-workers who would come in and complain yet do nothing to change their situation. It was negative and would bring the moral down. I knew changing employers was not the answer. It would be a lot of the same issues different place. Some just came with a lot of extra drama and issues on top of the regular issues that came with the job working under someone else. I knew that I needed to do something about it. I knew I needed to create the life I wanted to live. I knew It would not be handed to me. I knew that I needed to take my hard work ethic and use it for myself so I could reap the reward of my hard work. Not others.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say God and my family matter most to me. They are why I do everything I do. They motive me to grow, do more, step out in faith.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
That it was all about Jesus not me! To God be the Glory! God called me to my field. God called me to start my business. I was just obedient. I took my time finding my career. It was not my choice to be an Esthetician. My aunt say the talents in me and called them out. I felt it would be the right fit. I perused skin care and knew this is what I was suppose to do. After working as an Esthetician. Others noticed I was gifted in massage. I felt called to go back to school to become a massage therapist. God opened doors for me no one could. I knew this was my calling. Starting my mobile spa business was all lead by God. People I knew asked me to come to their homes and help them with their skin. Then they would ask if knew anyone who did massage. Now I am able to service my clients with both services. I am able to deliver better results having the freedom to customize services. My mission is to Honor God in my business. To serve my clients with the best possible services to help improve their health and quality of life. I am blessed I have the privilege of doing what I love. I love helping people.
