Today we’d like to introduce you to Art Meier.
Art, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I’ve been a bunch of different things for different reasons through my journey and each has its own story. The story of me now is just starting and I don’t yet know the way. I do have clues from my past to lead me on through. Color is important. Color will have the kings seat in my future. I will be one of reflections and mirrors and refractions. The core of me is faceted spectrum. And that’s as far as I’ve got so far. Unless you were asking about credentials in which case I’ve got an A.S. in Commercial Art, B.S. in Graphic Design & Marketing, 7 years in the design field. And a jack of all trades kind of tool belt.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
Professionally, I’ve grown my art with the help of A7D Creative Group and many San Diego bars & restaurants through logo design, menu design, event graphics, and overall branding.
My personal work is a scattered lightning bolt pattern of discovery leading to discovery. My next set of work will deal with lifting the veil, using visuals to convey abstract ideas, and contributing to building a positive reality for those that come before and after.
How can artists connect with other artists?
Success is being just a little bit better than the person I was yesterday. Success is being awake to fonts, shadows, human behavior, curiosity, fascination, self-destruction, creation, being here now, and anything else that blows your socks off.

Also, I’m working on a photo series called “First Meetings” where I meet someone for the first time and we get into it. The crazy life stuffs. The goal isn’t to take a photo. That’s just a side effect. The goal is to share deep knowledge with random strangers. HMU.
