Today we’d like to introduce you to Denny Besnard.
Denny, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Moved from France in 1992 to start an apprenticeship in the oldest tattoo studio in San Diego (Tahiti Felix master tattoo open in 1949). Moved back to Europe to tattoo in France and Germany (and many conventions all over) in 1995 and came back to San Diego in 2000 where I reside since.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I mostly specialize in “western style” Japanese tattoo art with a twist of illustrated style on it but enjoy doing almost anything. I prefer larger imagery as it allows to fit the body parts the best.
Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
The industry is most definitely saturated. Tattoo shop and tattooer pop up every day.
