Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Muniz.
Jennifer, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I have always had a passion for photos. Six years ago, my father passed away and it was at that time I realized that I didn’t have as any memories that I thought I had had. That’s when I knew I wanted to give people the opportunity to look back on a special moment that has been frozen in time by the camera Len and know exactly what was happening at that very moment. My happy place is behind the camera creating memories for others.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My two favorite types of photography are weddings and lifestyle photography. Weddings I absolutely love to be able to capture those special moments between the bride and groom showing their love for each other. As well as seeing the two families coming together. Weddings are so special. Lifestyle photography is photography that mainly aims to capture portrait/people in situations, life-life events and milestones. My main goal is to tell the stories of the people I am photography. So, when years past you can recall that time by looking at the pictures. A lifestyle photographer is not only a portrait or people photographer loving and enjoying photography as art. It is also believed to be talent in photography that can also do well in other many disciplines of photography such as; landscape, fashion, and street photography in one’s unique vision to inspire a person’s life. I am always looking for people to see joy and happiness in my photographs. I want the people a photograph to see that beauty that I see in them in themselves. Each photo shoot I do I use it as a lesson and how I can improve for the next one.
Do current events, local or global, affect your work and what you are focused on?
My role of artist is to capture the good in the world and to show that there is love, happiness, and kindness still alive in our world. Embrace the good and stop for a moment to be thankful for the good.
