Check Out Ayla Luna Rae’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ayla Luna Rae.

Hi Ayla, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Reno, Nevada. I grew up simultaneously swimming in Lake Tahoe and having amazing experiences on the land that I came from, and surrounded by addiction, scarcity, systemic racism, and abuse. I moved to Grass Valley, CA as a teenager. There I enjoyed the mountains, and rivers, threw myself into off-grid living and loved it, did yoga teacher training, and really found my happy place in nature. I spent most of my 20s in Grass Valley studying regenerative farming, and the Indigenous Teachings of Plants and Earth Medicines. I sat in many healing circles, and ceremonies, and had many great teachers form many great lineages along my journey. I began creating my own herbal remedies and salves and offering them to anyone I could. I sold on the road and at little markets around Northern California. I created A website and started my social media once I realized there was a collective need to return to nature-based therapies, plant-based eating, and plant-based healing.

My two children were birthed near the Yuba River and spent the first parts of their childhood in Grass Valley, Mount Shasta, and on the Islands of Maui and Oahu. It was in Hawaii that I got really inspired to write a book. I was working in a high-end bikini shop and cleaning multi-million-dollar estates while also living on the beach in my jeep. I was surrounded by so much prosperity, money, and abundance. Even though Hawaii is amazing no matter how you are living, I was basically homeless and living in poverty and watching most of the people around me thrive. So, while working and managing the bikini shop alone, on slow hours I would write. I wrote and wrote. All of the yogic practices, meditations, and manifestation tools I had accumulated over the years of my own personal studies got put into one book called “how to do the work” my way of sharing firsthand with people what I did to get out of that poverty and scarcity mindset and truly live the life I came here to live. In 2020 after a really close call with a forest fire living in our RV, I felt guided to make the move to San Diego.

After moving to San Diego, I had a lot of hardships and intense things happened around me. I was experiencing a lot of stuckness and fear of the future. I had a burning desire to help others since I was a child and it seemed that fire was growing inside of me the moment I moved to San Diego.

In Grass Valley, I was very different from everyone else on the outside and I had very little confidence in my teens and 20s. San Diego is where I started tapping into my own abundance and unique gifts through the help of my Kambo Teachers. I found my Kambo teachers through prayer and manifestation techniques. Kambo was one Earth Medicine I feared and had not yet tried. I had tried almost everything else, most everything helped me mentally, physically, and spiritually to a certain extent it just seemed I was missing something and needed a little guidance. Kambo kept coming up in synchronistic ways such as seemingly random conversations, tv shows, books, etc. So, when a Kambo training popped up on my Facebook feed, I trusted my inner guidance and reached out to the facilitators. Six months later, I was a trained Kambo practitioner. With the medicine Kambo, I went through one year’s worth of therapy and released 5 years’ worth of grief and trauma in 3 days! I was eager to share the power of this medicine with my community and with my own family.

It’s no accident that Kambo is 100% legal, is being widely studied for its 1000’s bioactive peptides, and has come to be so popular at a time when humanity may very well need it the most.

Ives served 110’s of local San Diegans Kambo. From tech leaders, ex-gang bangers, stay-at-home moms, marines, even multi-generations, daughters, mothers, granddaughters, and beyond.

We all come from drama and trauma, and the pressures of our society have caused a massive collective shift to where more and more people are asking critical questions, taking control of their own health, and returning to natural and ancestral ways. This is how I have come to serve our community in this way.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There was always the pressure to fit into what everyone else thought was best, societal structures. Making money with integrity was a challenge. It’s against my Indigenous teachings to have a “normal” job so my trust in where my next meal would come from, or where me and my children would live had to come from a higher place. I had to learn to trust my own instincts and trust in the divine process of my life.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
