Check Out Caiden Gage’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caiden Gage.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was a salon owner just south of Memphis, TN for 15 years where I specialized in color, extensions, and nonsensical hair replacement. I was relocated to San Diego as a lead designer and educator for one of the top 3 wig and topper manufacturers in the US. I opened a salon suite because I missed servicing clients that suffer from hair loss. I currently work as the US Trainer for an Italian-based company that is one of the leading hair replacement manufacturers in the world. I travel all over the world teaching people how to design cranial prosthesis and perform consortia hair replacement and hair regrowth therapies. I also work in my suite in Del Mar where I design custom hair systems and practice my craft

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t know of any road to success that is very smooth. I went through a divorce after 18 years of building a life just outside of Memphis. Financial hardships forced me to grow in a way I never imagined. I accepted a job offer that relocated me 2000 miles across country where I knew no one; no friends and no family. After developing many products and new techniques for the company that relocated me. They terminated my position leaving me unemployed aside from a salon suite that I did not have a clientele to support myself on my own. However, the Italian company snatched me up pretty quickly allowing me to sustain a life in Southern California. Now I educate full time both privately and for major manufacturers I also work in my suite designing custom pieces and servicing behind the chair with a couple of surprise endeavors on the horizon

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I design cranial prosthetics and teach nonsurgical hair replacement and hair regrowth therapies to salons and medical centers all over the world

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love the weather, the scenery, the food, and the people
