Today we’d like to introduce you to Cesar Vargas

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Navy Veteran, I served in the United States Navy for 6 years. After getting out of the military became 1st member of my family to achieved my Bachelor’s degree.
During that time period I worked doing security all throughtout San Diego.
Expecially during this challenging times and the increase homelessness crisis, some of my roles was to observe and report, assist law enforcement, and help anyone in my area if they are lost.
While I was serving my community by making them feel safer walking down the streets, I also started to volunteer at a local BOXING GYM: BOUND BOXING.
After 10 years doing Security I retired and focused my efforts into my boxing coach career, I joined USABOXING and became a Green Level Coach, however I always strive for success and eventually achieved the Silver Coaching Level.
In conclusion, being a boxing coach is very rewarding, my personality has always been one of service, from joining the military and becoming that 1 percent of Americans that served they country to serving my community by being a security officer and now a boxing coach.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
San Diego is one of The United States most expensive cities, so yes it has been challenging. We have to learn from our failures. Like Thomas Edison said: “I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that will not work.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I currently work as a boxing coach at Bound Boxing.
I specialize in instructing boxing, self defence and discipline.
The Bounf Boxing gym is known for having created the 1st athele to have been selected for the 2020 Olimpic Team out of the LBC 44/CALBORDER LOCAL BOXING COMMITEE, Andrea Medina.
I also trained Dante Hernandez whom was the 1st athlete at 149 pounds to have achieved the silvel medal at the annual Goldengloves of America.
What sets me apart from others is my combine expirienceses from my military background to higher education. I always strive to achieved the highest levels of everything I put my mind into, that is why i earned my bronze level thru USABOXING CLINICS. My next goal is the Silver Level Clinic.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is being surrounded by family.
