I’ve always been a creative person, channeling my curiosity and dedication into my career as an educator. For over a decade, I dedicated myself to nurturing and guiding others in that role. But in 2020, I felt a profound call to reconnect with my own spiritual practices and the shifting of my creative expression.
With the guidance of mentors and community, I stepped fully into spiritual healing work, allowing it to bloom alongside my passion for creating meaningful jewelry and art. It was a transformative time that led me to leave my role as a public educator and devote my energy to this new path of healing, creativity, and connection.
Today, I support others in discovering their spiritual paths through intuitive psychic and mediumship sessions and classes. These sessions are designed to offer guidance, healing, and empowerment. My creative work complements this mission, as I craft spiritual jewelry imbued with indigenous symbolism and intention. Each piece becomes a personal talisman, connecting wearers to their inner strength and the energies they wish to cultivate.
My journey is also deeply rooted in service to the community. As a former teen parent, I know the power of education to transform lives. With the support of community, I founded La Matriz Sagrada, a scholarship fund that provides two $500 awards annually to teen parents pursuing higher education. It’s a way to give back and hold space for others as they navigate their own paths toward growth and possibility.
Through it all, my work remains centered on honoring life and death, celebrating spirit, and fostering connection—with others, with the divine, and with ourselves.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Leaving my role as an educator was a significant struggle. Teaching had always been a part of my identity, and I’d envisioned myself retiring in that role. Stepping away to pursue this new path required a leap of faith and a reimagining of my future.
I’m incredibly grateful for the support of my partner and community, who encouraged me to trust my instincts and follow my passions. The encouragement I received gave me the confidence to embrace the shift from educator to entrepreneur, and I’m so thankful for their unwavering belief in me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My creative journey began with crafting tarot card wooden holders adorned with animal and Mesoamerican spiritual imagery. Tarot and oracle cards are an integral part of my spiritual practice, and I wanted to design a meaningful piece that could double as an altar space for connecting with spirit.
This creative spark soon evolved. My partner and I began making earrings, which became a beautiful and fulfilling outlet for my artistic energy. Each pair of earrings is crafted with intention, infused with significance, energy, and a story. They’re more than just accessories—they’re tools for connection, empowerment, and self-expression.
How do you think about luck?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to connect and collaborate with talented artists, creatives, and healers in the San Diego community. These connections have opened doors to showcase my work in meaningful ways, from local stores and events to prominent spaces like the Centro Cultural de la Raza in Balboa Park and the San Diego Pride Festival.
