Check Out Danielle Peterson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Peterson.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started this business when I was in my sophomore year of College at SDSU. After my internship with Women-Owned company Cubicle to CEO as their Podcast video editor and I really was inspired to start my own business after hearing everyone’s stories on the Podcast. So just before my junior year of college I decided I wanted to graduate at the end of the year and take this business off- which is exactly what I did. I graduated in 3 years with a Bachelors in Journalism & Media Studies with a minor in Web Design and started working on my business at the same time. It has been 1 year post-graduating and my business has been flourishing since, with obtaining the type of luxury clientele I always dreamed of working with + being able to sponsor my first event in August with Matcha on Ice.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No it has not been a smooth road. The first year and a half of my business I had to figure everything out along the way and to this day I still feel like I am figuring things out as I go. I was afraid to charge what I knew I was worth, I was getting conflicting advice on every part of the start-up journey, I honestly did not know where it began or where it is going but I have always given myself grace within the process of this business. I know it is not a linear journey and not every success will bring you a check, but it is not about making money in the quickest way possible to me. It’s about enjoying what I do in this life and being able to be proud of the work and services I provide to people because I know it can help their lives and businesses.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At AMBR Creative Co., I help entrepreneurs and service providers build luxury brand identities through social media and websites that not only look beautiful but feel aligned with who they are. I specialize in branding, web design, and creative direction — but what I’m really known for is creating clarity and confidence for founders who are overwhelmed by the branding process or unsure how to express their vision.

What I’m most proud of is how personal I’ve kept this business. AMBR was built on the belief that entrepreneurship shouldn’t come at the cost of your mental health. This i what I believe sets my brand apart from others. I merge creative excellence with emotional intelligence. I care deeply about the energy behind a brand — not just the visuals — and I think that shows in both the work and the way I show up for my clients. People don’t just leave with a logo or a website; they leave feeling more grounded, confident, and clear in who they are as a business.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Wow theres not one particular thing I can name- but to sum it up I love how much there is to do here outside of your home. Coming from Dallas, Texas, where the most exciting thing to go with sonic on a Friday night or to some random field in the middle of the night to feel something, everything here aligns with the vision of who I want to become as a woman. I want to be healthy and there is an unlimited amount of possibilities to eat healthy, and work out and be so involved in the wellness community here. Happiness is my biggest priority, and the ocean and the mountains and the scenery around me provides so much for my mental health. The thing I least like about the city is June gloom and the parking in north park haha other than that I love it.
