Check Out Dinara Baizakova’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dinara Baizakova.

Dinara Baizakova

Hi Dinara, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Dinara, I’m 27 years old. I moved to the USA 4,5 years ago by myself from Russia. I’m full-time photographer based in San Diego, but I also travel to Los Angeles and NYC.

I have worked as a game attendant, barista, hostess, and waitress before starting photography business in the USA. However, I’ve been taking photos for 12 years. And for 2.5 year in San Diego.

At the age of 15, I began my journey in photography in Russia, unknowingly setting the stage for a passion that would span the next 15 years of my life. Despite the challenges of pursuing an artistic career in Russia, where I lacked support from others, my love for photography has only deepened over time. Even though the path was difficult, I always held onto the conviction that this was the pursuit I wanted to excel in and become truly great at.

I’m looking forward for what 2024 holds for me.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey is never without its challenges—whether it’s mastering the English language, honing the art of client communication, or adapting to new systems in the USA.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
For the last 2,5 years doing photography in San Diego, I have got 5 magazine covers, 15+ publications, interviews, art show. I was the head photographer in San Diego Swim Week fashion show, 2021-2022. Also, I am the official photographer for Miss Grand California in 2023. I have worked with Miss Earth Air, Zodiac Boyfriend, Reeses book, Yensa. I started mentoring photographers about 3 months ago. And I launched my first online photography course 1 month ago. Now, I’m trying to promote it as much as I can to make it passive income. I’ve publicly speaking about art and creating content at the beginning of 2023. And also, I was participant in a reality show about creative people in San Diego.

I think that I’m coming from another country really makes me appreciate everything what USA got to offer me. I always say yes for the new opportunities. And the most importantly I create this opportunities myself.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
It has the best people. People who want to support and give some advice to you. It’s very chill at the same. I’ve learned a lot of patience and getting rest here.
