Check Out Elvira Oppenheim’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elvira Oppenheim

Hi Elvira, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Originally from Ukraine, I moved to California 9 years ago. I was an international model and back then I was representing Ukraine on several prestigious international beauty pageants such as World Bikini Model and Las Vegas International Model Search. When I moved to California, I started my journey in real estate and became a realtor in Los Angeles. Things were going well, and I was on a good path—until Covid hit. During that time, I thought I had met the right person and was ready to start a family. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as I had imagined, and after my daughter turned 1 year old, her dad and I got divorced. It was by far the toughest period of my life and I’m grateful to all people who supported me during that time. I’m lucky and blessed to be surrounded by the most amazing, supportive and inspiring people- my friends and family.

Looking back now, I can honestly say that the challenges I faced during that time became a turning point for me. Since then, I’ve accomplished so much that I never thought possible. I decided to get back into modeling and this year, I won the national title of Ms. World America 2024, representing my new home- California. Next year I will be representing the United States at Miss World International 2025. I also made it into the Top 24 at Miss Swimsuit USA, and will be featured in reality show “Beyond the Sash’ on Tubi. All these opportunities have opened so many new doors for me.

Looking back, sometimes the toughest moments in life can turn out to be the greatest blessings. The most important lesson I’ve learned is to never give up, no matter what life throws your way.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I would say that the toughest moment came when my daughter’s father and I went through a divorce. It was a very difficult and emotional time. I had to start from zero once again and raising my daughter pretty much on my own. I had to learn how to lean into my strength and resilience.

Through that experience, I gained a deeper understanding of my own capabilities and what I’m truly made of. I had to become both strong and compassionate—not just for myself, but for my daughter as well. Every challenge I faced taught me something new about perseverance, and it shaped the woman I am now. Today, I feel more empowered and confident in my journey. The struggles I went through didn’t break me; they built me into someone who is more focused, driven, and determined to succeed—not just for myself, but for the people I love.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Real estate is one of my passions and I keep working as a realtor here, in Newport Beach. At the same time, right now, I’m focusing on something very exciting.
When I won Ms. World America, I felt inspired to create something special—something that not only makes women look and feel amazing, but also empowers them. My close friend, who is now my business partner, and I are woking on launching our own premium beachwear brand called Luxy Queen. We’re using high-quality fabrics, unique designs, and handmade details to make sure every woman who wears our pieces feels like a Queen.

What makes us different is that we’re not just designing beachwear—we’re creating a message of confidence and self-love. Our pieces are made to help women feel strong and beautiful. We believe that every woman deserves to feel like her best self, and that starts with wearing something that makes her feel confident, and empowered.

I’m really proud of this project because it brings together my love for fashion and my passion for supporting other women and I can’t wait to see how Luxy Queen connects with women everywhere.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe that taking risks is an essential part of growth, even though it can be intimidating. Looking back, I’ve taken several major risks that have shaped my life and career. Moving to California from Ukraine was a huge leap of faith. I left behind everything I knew to start fresh in a new country, which was both exciting and terrifying. But that risk paid off and opened up so many opportunities for me.

Another significant risk was stepping into the world of real estate and entrepreneurship, which is never easy, especially as a newcomer. Then, personally, going through a divorce and navigating life as a single mother was another huge risk—it took a lot of courage to face such a difficult chapter, but it pushed me to become stronger and more determined.

Now, I’m in the process of launching my own brand. This is another major risk, especially in such a competitive market. But I truly believe in the message we’re sharing and the quality we are providing and I’m willing to take that leap because I know it can make a positive impact.

For me, risk-taking isn’t about being reckless; it’s about embracing the uncertainty that comes with pursuing something meaningful. It’s about trusting yourself, even when you don’t have all the answers. The hardest risks are often the most rewarding, and they’ve played a crucial role in getting me where I am today.
