Today we’d like to introduce you to Hanna Noriega.
Hi Hanna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Hanna Noriega, and I am the Creator of sdgirlevents on Instagram; I began promoting downtown San Diego venues with a Marketing and Management group in 2021. When I joined the team, I was the only girl who street teamed and went out every night, so it was easy meeting new girls and was getting told, “I am so glad there is a female promoter that I can go out with” multiple times a night. I loved hearing how these girls felt safe and fun being out with a girl who worked in the industry. I started making videos on TikTok and Instagram which helped my pages and clientele grow increasingly fast. I believed posting my nights out would show how much fun each venue was and how potential girls night out can be. With creating sdgirlevents I was not only thinking about these venues, but I was thinking about how hard it is to make friends in your 20’s+. This page allows girls to come out with friends or come alone and meet new girlfriends. I am trying to make a safe space where girls can enjoy the company of other females and attend some amazing events all over San Diego. Sdgirlevents was made in late July, and it has already been a success; there are girls who come out to every event, and some who’ve only came out to one and now hangout with girls from that event on a daily basis. This page has so much potential that has not been seen yet and will continue to grow. I always believed in making sure all my girls had a great and safe time when coming out with me, but now I can also help with building relationships and creating friendships.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Sdgirlevents is still a pretty brand-new page, so there have not been any issues, but I would say the first weeks girls were nervous to come out alone and I had to come up with ideas to get girls excited about the events. I now do weekly themed nights out which have been so much fun! As of right now I do not see anything changing and hope we do not run into any struggles or challenges anytime soon or ever.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the VIP Coordinator for a Marketing and Management Group and a Social Media Content Creator. I have always enjoyed making content and am glad that it has came as part of my job. I am known for being a San Diego Female VIP Host and now for @sdgirlevents on Instagram. I am proud of my job and have received recognition for it with being awarded Top Performer for the year of 2022. Sdgirlevents can be set aside from other pages because we aren’t just a party page, but we will also be doing picnics, brunches, sleepovers, workouts, and watch parties. We want to build friendships and relationships with the groups that are trusting us with their nights out. I am the creator of SDGirlEvents but I have a team of amazing ladies that help out with the events to ensure everyone is having a great night!
What do you like and dislike about the city?
San Diego is one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S. We have amazing beaches, gorgeous weather, and great venues/restaurants. There is always something to do in San Diego. I also believe that we have some of the kindest and most outgoing locals!
