HELLBØUND, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started making music when I was about 16 years old. I didn’t have any idea what I was doing honestly, I just knew and was determined to create since I always made art and wrote poems growing up. I taught myself how to record, and engineer vocals and have been expanding ever since. My goal is/was to impact people from authentic creativity, whether a listener or fellow creative. Plus, it inspired me to bring up others of different creative mediums. Whether it be Producers, Videographers, Drag/Non-Drag performers, Fashion, Photographers , etc
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been some struggles, you run into some ill intentions from others sometimes or just personal life struggles can happen, and those situations or hardships, really try and knock you off your course. That’s apart of life in general really, it’s all about how you come back when you fall or feel things are falling apart. It’s okay to not always have things be okay. In time, things will change because, all of the good and bad is apart of a journey.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have been known to be a multi-genre artist, typically leaning towards Hyperpop/Pop Punk, Emo rap, Electronic, and Industrial/hardcore, probably being the main. Often working with producers like Apartment9, S0ftskelet0ns, CQSLEEP, and various hyperpop/electronic producers, which many I am happy to say are my friends. I’m most proud of the fact that I never let myself stay in one lane of music, since I grew up with so many genres and inspirations growing up, I feel it sets me apart how I kinda bring the genres that I had listened to growing up together and uplift fellow producers and artists I work with and how determined I was to continue improving and learning when it comes to mixing and mastering..
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Honestly what’s always made me happy is creating and uplifting other creatives. I’ve personally always put so much emotion into anything that is a creative outlet and it’s always made me proud of the final product, from writing poetry, songs, and creating video edits or cover art, there is always a story. I suppose it goes hand in hand with uplifting other creatives. It inspires me to see what others do in their own specialties and encourage them to continue expressing themselves and help out with exposure!
