Check Out Holly Wiederkehr’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Holly Wiederkehr

Holly , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve been surrounded by entrepreneurial family members whose drive always inspired me. Their innovative spirit seemed to run in our DNA, and I knew I shared that same drive. My career path took me through some incredible experiences – from working with the magical world of Dr. Seuss to being part of the Larry King show. These opportunities taught me so much about creativity and hard work. About ten years ago, I made what seemed like a natural transition into our family business. The plan was clear: my siblings and I would eventually take the reins and continue building on our family’s legacy. But life has a way of surprising you. When the business was unexpectedly sold, we all found ourselves at a crossroads, questioning what our next chapter would look like. During my search to purchase a local business, I signed countless NDAs and had numerous conversations with business owners. Then came a phone call that would change everything – a local mobile bar business was for sale. During that conversation, something just clicked. Not because I wanted to buy their business, but because I suddenly saw a clear vision of what I could create on my own. I’ve always been someone who thrives on human connection. During my time working at my brother’s brewery, I discovered how much I loved being part of the community, creating spaces where people felt comfortable just being themselves. There’s something special about those moments when someone feels truly heard and seen, often while sharing a drink and good conversation. So after that phone call, that’s when I decided to take the harder but more rewarding path – starting my own mobile bar business from scratch. After years of dreaming about leaving the 9-to-5 world, I finally took the leap. I’ve poured all of my time, energy, and creativity into building something that’s about so much more than just serving drinks. It’s about creating experiences that bring people together and make them feel special. Every event is an opportunity to weave connections between people, to turn ordinary moments into memories that last.
As a woman entrepreneur, I hope my story can inspire others who might be hesitating to take that leap of faith. Starting your own business isn’t easy – it takes courage to walk away from the security of a corporate job, and it requires endless dedication to build something from the ground up. But if you’re willing to put in the time, effort, and heart, anything is possible. My goal isn’t just to run a successful business; it’s to create something meaningful that adds value to people’s lives and brings joy to our community. I want to show other women that they don’t have to follow a predetermined path. Sometimes the best opportunities come from having the courage to create your own way forward. When I look back at the unexpected turn that led me here, I’m grateful for that moment of uncertainty that pushed me into making bold decisions for my future.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The struggle is in actually taking that one step where there is no going back to what was. The jump. Making the decision wasn’t easy in terms of it being life changing in many ways. And learning to navigate all the aspects of starting a business can be overwhelming but it has been immensely rewarding.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’d say I am a very multifaceted Person. Weaving together my Entrepreneural spirit into many areas of life. I have a Bachelor’s in Metaphysical Science and certifications as a Law of Attraction practitioner and a Death Doula. I’m also an artist and this serves as another channel for exploring myself and my life experiences through art. While these paths might seem diverse, they all stem from my core mission of fostering authentic connections, first and foremost with myself, and the community.
I’m most proud of overcoming my own hesitation and finally stepping fully into a higher version of myself. After years of staying in my comfort zone, I’ve embraced my unique combination of passions and talents. I want to live life with intention and chase dreams.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Growing up in San Diego has been amazing. There’s nothing like having friends over for backyard jacuzzi time in February while other cities are shoveling snow. I’ve seen this place grow into this incredible spot where you can grab amazing tacos for lunch, hit up a local brewery, and make it to the mountains or beach all in one day.
The food scene here is insane. There are all these cool little restaurants and breweries popping up everywhere. What makes San Diego really special is the people, the neighborhoods, the whole lifestyle. The weather’s always the best and there is always something fun to do.
