Check Out Jessica Brown’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Brown.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
During COVID, I wanted to reconnect with my creative side, so I started making resin jewelry. That eventually led me to candle making, which got me into designing labels with a Cricut. From there, I started making small signage, like bar menus and seating charts, and completely fell in love with it! I connected with local balloon artists and party planners, and now I have repeat customers all over the United States! I’ve since sold my Cricut and upgraded to multiple machines that allow me to create large-scale custom party decor. I’m so excited to keep growing, upgrading, and pushing my creativity to help bring people’s party visions to life!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Burnout is real, especially when you’re constantly being asked to stay creative. I’ve learned how important it is to make time for myself and my family, while still being available for my clients. Setting boundaries has been challenging, and sticking to them even more so, but I know it’s what’s best for me, my family, and the people I work with.
I have “unofficial” business hours set in my mind, and setting those have certainly helped.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I take pride in providing excellent customer service and high-quality products at a reasonable price. Because of that, I’ve been fortunate to have repeat customers who not only come back but also refer me to others—which means the world, since my business thrives on word of mouth.
At Lynnguistic Designs, we work with a variety of mediums, making it easy for customers to get everything they need in one place. From welcome signs and acrylic cake toppers to bar menus and custom foam board props—we can create it all in one order!

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I love designing things and I am currently completing my courses to be a certified graphic designer! My goal is to be able to offer invitation suite designs (no printing) for DIY brides and party planning mommas who want something cute, custom, and affordable.
