Check Out Jessica Rogers’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Rogers.

Jessica Rogers

Hi Jessica, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I believe my journey really began in my grandparents’ living room. My little sister, cousin, and I would spend hours creating dance routines and fashion shows, then gather the whole family to watch us perform. Those moments were the foundation of my love for creativity and self-expression.

As I grew up, that passion only deepened. My parents were always incredibly supportive, encouraging me to explore my interests through acting classes and other creative activities. But I’d say my modeling career truly began when I was working at Abercrombie & Fitch. While I was there, I was scouted to model for their brand and style guide. That’s when it really clicked for me—this wasn’t just a dream, it was something I could actually pursue and most importantly, something that brought me immense joy.

That experience set everything in motion. Over a decade ago, after being discovered at Abercrombie, I decided to take the leap. I started reaching out to agencies, signed with a couple, and fully committed to this path. It’s been an incredible journey—not just professionally, but personally as well. Both modeling and acting have pushed me out of my comfort zone, helped me find my confidence, and given me a deeper understanding of who I am. It’s also allowed me to be a source of inspiration for others, showing them what’s possible when you follow your passion.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The simple answer? No, it hasn’t been a smooth road, but it’s been a necessary one. This journey has really pushed me to lean into my faith, trust the desires God has placed on my heart, and believe that every step—every challenge—has a purpose. Over time, I’ve come to see those struggles as opportunities for growth. They’ve sparked a fire in me, making me more open and receptive to anything that feels aligned with my path.

One of the biggest challenges has been finding a balance between pursuing a traditional work-life and building a modeling and acting career. It’s tough to commit to a job that expects you to clock in and out while also getting last-minute auditions or needing to travel for bookings, especially with all the logistics that come with it. But those challenges also pushed me to dive into other passions like interior design, content creation, and all things creative. These outlets have brought me so much joy and allowed me to express myself in ways I hadn’t fully explored before.

Through it all, I’m incredibly blessed to have people in my life who love and support me—who are always there when I need them. They remind me of who I am and where I come from. I come from a powerful and resilient lineage, and knowing that helps keep me grounded and reminds me that I can handle whatever comes my way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a model and actress, and I specialize in bringing my best self to every set, collaborating with different teams to help bring their visions to life. One of the things I love most about this work is connecting with other creatives—bouncing around ideas, embodying characters, and turning their concepts into something real and tangible. It’s such a rewarding process.

On set, I’d say I’m known for my positive energy. Let’s be honest—productions can get hectic, and things rarely go exactly as planned. I’ve learned how important it is to stay grounded and keep a positive attitude. For me, every opportunity to be on set is a blessing, and I make it a point to show up with gratitude and share that energy with everyone around me.

What I’m most proud of is trusting my heart. Pursuing this career isn’t just a whimsical dream for me—it’s a calling that keeps proving itself true. I’m also really proud of my resilience. This industry can come with a lot of ‘no’s, and while rejection isn’t easy, I’ve learned to see it as redirection. When something doesn’t work out, it’s often because God has something better in store, and I’ve seen that play out time and time again.

I know it might sound a little cliché, but I believe what sets me apart is that I’m me. There’s no one else like me, and that’s true for everyone in this industry (and in the world for that matter). I think that’s what makes it so special—we all bring something unique to the table, and together we create something amazing.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
It’s been incredible to watch how the industry has evolved, especially with the increasing focus on inclusivity and representation. These days, everyone—no matter their look or background—has the chance to be seen, whether it’s on screen or in front of the camera. I’m not saying everyone is meant to model or act, but if you have that desire in your heart, there’s room for you. God doesn’t make mistakes, and if that passion is in you, there’s a reason for it.

Looking ahead, I hope the industry keeps opening doors for more people. There’s so much beauty and talent in the world, and I want to see even more of it celebrated. When people get the chance to shine, it inspires others to do the same, and that kind of ripple effect is so powerful.
