Check Out Jessica Stieler’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Stieler.

Hi Jessica, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was raised by a woman who was a, “if you want something done, you do it yourself” kind of woman. So after a few attempts at getting my nails done, I decided I could do it myself. I started doing my own nails at 13, and friends started taking interest, which turned into a business in my bedroom. I did my nails, my friends and even some of their parents.

That led to what is now a 22-year career as a Nail Professional. Around year 18 I was offered a job as an educator to other nail professionals, which got me out into the field and I saw what was going on. I realized there was a lack of education and support for Nail Professionals and not a lot of options for consumers. It inspired me to open my own salon to give back to the community of clients that supported me over the years and to offer jobs and education to other people wanting to make a career doing what they love.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s not always smooth, but because I believe I”m in alignment with what I’m supposed to be doing in this life, the universe shows up to support me more than not! I knew going into opening the salon that this was my way to figure it all out first hand, through trial and error, and as we all know that’s not always easy, especially when you’re on the error side of trial and error.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Nail Professional. I specialize in nail enhancements, manicures and pedicures. What’s most important to me, is creating a quality service and protecting the integrity of my client’s natural nails, no matter the service. We use quality products, educate our clients, and reduce all risk of cross contaminating by doing our waterless pedicure, autoclaving our implements and using a new nail file every time! I’m most proud of creating a space that people feel at peace, and their nails are in good hands.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe life mirrors back to you what you put out. When challenges arrive, they’re just opportunity’s to expand and grow into the next season of your life!
