Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendall Metzger.
Hi Kendall, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I’ve always had a passion for travel and vintage cars. Sandy came to us in November of 2020, and I thought she’d be a great project to work on during the lockdown. My boyfriend and I spent 2 years fixing her up to create something beautiful. We decided we wanted to share her fun style with others. We wanted the opportunity to help light up anyone’s events and make them something truly unique and special. We hope she can encourage more people to embrace the thrifty and vintage style we love so dearly.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Getting the word out about our new business has definitely been tough, there’s a lot of competition out there. We’ve been utilizing Instagram a lot to help spread the word, our website has really helped as well.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I got my bachelors in Animal Science from Chico State University. My full-time job is as a veterinarian assistant at a local veterinary clinic. I love what I do but I thought a photo booth would be a good way to generate supplemental income.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out.
Don’t lose hope. It takes time but with a lot of determination and perseverance, your business will succeed. All you need to do is set a goal and push for it every day, even if it’s just a little bit at a time. Any progress is good progress.
