Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Cantu.
Hi Lisa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As a special education teacher, I saw a need for my students to have systems in place that allowed them to be successful and productive. I decided to share this skill with my local community members, by starting a home organizing business that created systems within homes that allowed Individuals and families to be more productive and successful with their time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My business started four years ago in January 2022, and within three months I was needing to add an additional Organizer to my team. Within six months, we had grown to four organizers, and today there are six of us on the team. There is definitely a need within all communities for individuals and families to declutter the unwanted items within their homes and create more peaceful environments. For us it has been a smooth road and a very satisfying one.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We not only create peaceful environments for clients that include systems for offices, closets, kitchens, playrooms, and garages, but as a team, we saw a greater need within the community for those who could not afford our services. We had been in many homes of individuals that were sick, disabled, And elderly, and it was a hardship for them to afford our services. Often times family members would have to step in and provide payments for those who could not. Due to this, we decided in September 2025 to launch our nonprofit organization called Organized Home OC foundation. This foundation is available for income, qualified individuals who are in need of decluttering, packing, and unpacking services. These services are free based on donations that we receive from our community members..
Who else deserves credit in your story?
My biggest cheerleader and support system include my husband, my children, and my grandchildren. They have been there since the beginning with makeshift websites, long days. And busy weekends. My team has also been a great support. They are a hard-working team who work quickly and efficiently and receive an abundance of praise from our happy and satisfied clients. Along the way I have met wonderful individuals such as our website, designer. We are truly blessed.
