Today we’d like to introduce you to Mandy Whittington.
Mandy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Mandy Whittington. I’ve been doing hair for 10+ years. I relocated my life from Costa Mesa, to Menifee a few years ago. I restarted my career at a salon in Canyon Lake. I very quickly got pregnant with my daughter & knew i had to get my own salon space in order to take her with. I found a suite in Murrieta shortly after giving birth, which was very small. I knew i needed something bigger with a window once she started becoming mobile. I then found my salon i have now. (just minutes from my house) its the perfect size. I just had my son in march, so now both of my kids have room to play while Mama makes people feel and look beautiful.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The changes in my life the last 4 years has been challenging yet rewarding. Without the changes I would not have my salon I have today. Strands is a little tucked away from the main road so it is a quiet shopping center. The areas around us are growing so we hope to get busier with foot traffic soon!
