Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcella & Sofia Ortiz
Hi Marcella & Sofia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My sister and I both come from a large family. We understand the anxiety and stress that can come from hosting a party. With two children each and the experience of planning and hosting birthday parties for our own children, we wanted to help other families plan their events and hope to make it easier and personable.
We started with our first purchases in modern bounce houses. We wanted to include a customization option and bring our customers party ideas to life. We started with our nephew’s birthday to practice our decals and balloon garlands. Then with the purchase of our first soft play sets and the opportunity of another birthday of our own, we practiced more. We have evolved and have come up with new and better systems to provide the customization option to our customers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
With every journey and adventure there are struggles. We have definitely encountered road blocks that we’ve had to over come. One being transportation of our units. With the start of our business, owning a truck was sufficient enough to transport our jumpers. With the purchase of our soft play units, we discovered that we needed to add a trailer and needed a larger storage location. As we increased the amount of events we were accepting a weekend, we realized we needed a larger trailer and the purchase of multiple dollies and continue to find new ways to improve our prep, setup and break down process. A large struggle to this day is balancing our personal life with our children and their sports events, daycare, and family events to our growing business.

We are known for our party rentals, which include soft play, jumpers and tables and chairs. We’ve received positive feedback on our customization and with every event we continue to improved our craft.
