Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike Liorti.
Hi Mike, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Originally from Canada, I just work in SD playing music and touring with my band Lioneer
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely some ups and downs along the way but thanks to SD, more ups lately
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I would say I specialize in production and songwriting. Lioneer’s live production and studio production is definitely a lot for a DIY independent project. I’ve gotten pretty good at getting a lot our of very little.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I had a really good mentor growing up in Toronto, Steve Rizun. He really taught me how tough this industry can be and how to navigate with some thicker skin. He put me in environments with other thriving musicians and showed me how he worked with them in the studio and management. I also have some great friends down here in San Diego that really support my project.
