Today we’d like to introduce you to Milo Salinger

Hi Milo, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a YouTuber, Yoga Teacher, and Personal Trainer who specializes in mobility. Doing work for others is the best thing you can do. We’re all just walking each other home at the end of the day. For years I was doing only work that satisfied myself. I was working as a model around New York City. Did some professional shoots worldwide. But I found it to be a selfish business, with very shallow connections. While working on these shoots with really shallow people I was studying yoga and zen philosophy, like the work of Alan Watts and Ram Dass to help myself find my own inner peace.
And although I was traveling, meeting tons of people, it was a lonely life. Finding my center and practicing yoga wasn’t about fitness for me, it was about survival.
So I decided to make a change. I decided I didn’t want to be part of the rat race anymore. Chasing an image or idea of yourself is ego. And honestly clinging to ego is exhausting.
Trying to hold on is exhausting power. As soon as I chose to let go, I was able to reclaim my power. I changed course and I chose happiness. Not of my own. But the happiness of others.
In the words of Ram Dass, “we’re all just walking each other home.” And yeah sure, maybe I took that literally when it came to deciding how to redirect my life.
But i was privileged enough to have been raised by two coaches, and have a the base knowledge of fitness. So why wouldn’t I put that to use.
To this day I am an active YouTuber and tiktoker and my mission statement is simple. “Stay Calm, Stay Kind, and Stay Mobile.”

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No. I’ve lost a lot of money in this career change. Has to move back home work my mom, take on a few part time jobs.
Taking classes, and working in the fitness field is a whole other game I’m still frankly learning how to navigate.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a YouTuber and short term content creator. I’m known for teaching flexibility and mobility. The name is @Milobility Film, I edit. I market.
I’m very proud of helping people extend their body’s longevity. A lot of people don’t really understand mobility training. I break it down like this; strength is adulthood, flexibility is youth. Aging is the loss of both. Mobility is where strength training meets flexibility training, making it the ultimate defense against aging.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I find everyone is a teacher. Everyone has a perspective. And honestly a problem shared is problem cut in half.
