Hi Mlyssah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I am Professional Licensed Travel Makeup Artist I have 12+ Years of artistry experience. I graduated from Federico Beauty Institute in 2011 as a Cosmetologist. I traveled to Tokyo, Japan to receive advanced education and knowledge in artistry. In 2016-2018 I was contracted with NBC Comcast Universal and was honored to work with a great production team. I am currently contracted with Park Talent Model Agency as one of their makeup artist. I have experience in all makeup services including bridal, SFX/prosthetics, runway, commercial, music videos, television, quinceaneras, and more… When my clients are radiating confidence and feel beautiful that’s everything!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Currently, it’s been a smooth road, but when I first got started as a makeup artist, I had to teach myself all the “glam” looks, since beauty school did not teach us so much. It took me about 4 years to completely get comfortable with all faces.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a freelance travel makeup artist, and I specialize in all sort of makeup looks from natural Glam to bold dramatic looks to special FX looks. I am known for my signature grunge looks. I am most proud of working with NBC Universal and gaining experience working for television and fast-paced environment. What sets me apart from other artists is my humbleness and just having fun!
