Check Out Nicole Leigh’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Leigh.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
6 years ago, my 22yr old son who was an active-duty Marine was killed by a drunk driver. The man who hit my son driving the wrong way on the interstate owned a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility and was driving a company vehicle and was also a Marine veteran. I had been given my worst nightmare. And in the darkest place in my life, I found beauty. I was a nurse already for many years and was guided to hospice. And was gifted a special person in my life that kept pushing me to see more for myself. In hospice and in my own grieving I found that life could be beautiful in a way I never appreciated before. I realized very quickly that I was a life coach for my patients and not just their nurse. A life coach that strengthened their connection with God when faith was needed most. I have the gift of being an intuitive healer and also an artist. I use these gifts to assist people in finding their joy every day no matter how dark their world seems. I view the world through the eyes of an artist. God is the refined art of love.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a long road to get here. To be an expert in a field of study I read recently required 22000 hours spent. I have invested 52000 hours the past six years to become a grief expert. I pushed myself to do hospice so I could study grief up close.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in life coaching and grief coaching. I am known for being able to tune into a person’s specific needs to allow them to heal a heavy heart. So that they can find beauty in their days.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I am from the Midwest and something about San Diego has made me feel like it is my home. I love how dog-friendly this city is.
