Today we’d like to introduce you to Nitza Valencia
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The business idea came while I was in graduate school and realized I did not want to continue the career path I was studying for.
I wanted to do something I loved and still be able to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
With the learning experiences I have had up to that point and additional research I was doing on my own I started implementing effective training plans that brought positive results.
The rest of the business started getting fine-tuned along the way:)
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
– Deciding to drop out of my masters program
– Telling my parents
– Developing business systems that work
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I love being able to support families who get a dog to be companions for their children. I especially love working with children who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems and training their dogs to respond to unique forms of communication.
My experience working as a behavior therapist supporting children with Autism for nearly 10 years sets me apart from others.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I used that time to dive into the legal aspects of business formation.
