Check Out Reena Vokoun’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reena Vokoun

Hi Reena , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After graduating from college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BBA in marketing and management, I began my corporate career working in digital marketing, sales and business development leadership roles for Fortune 5oo companies such as GE, CNET, Reebok, Yahoo and Google, and I worked for a start-up called Grokker. I also went back to graduate school and received an MS in advertising and communications from Boston University.

After over 16 years working in corporate America, I decided to follow my heart, pursue my passions, seek more flexibility to balance my career and family and start my own health and wellness company, Passion Fit. The mission of Passion Fit is to empower women to flourish personally and professionally through wellness. We offer products, services and content around fitness, nutrition, mindfulness and work-life balance to help others develop a holistically healthy lifestyle. We serve individuals, companies, non-profits, schools, universities and the media.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My entrepreneurial journey has certainly had many ups and downs along the way. When you decide to build your own brand, company, products, services and content from the ground up, there will inevitably be many learning curves, successes, failures and everything in between. Ensuring you have a solid business strategy, plan, mission and vision, meeting the evolving needs of your clients on an ongoing basis, developing offerings that are on the cutting edge of the health and wellness industry, but also timeless, and managing business development partnerships, marketing campaigns, finances, accounting, expenses, budgets, technology, operations, sales, legal, web development and more, can be very challenging. Therefore, I’m so thankful for my amazing cross-functional teams, as I couldn’t do what I do, as the Founder and CEO of Passion Fit, without them!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In addition to building and running my company, Passion Fit, I’m an author, TEDx speaker, certified consumer and corporate health and wellness professional, TV host and contributor. I specialize in helping women find success in their personal and professional lives by leveraging wellness as their foundation. Through public speaking, writing, coaching, facilitating and educating, I’m able to help others in their quest to live happier, healthier and more productive lives, which is truly an honor.

I’m most proud of seeing my clients, whether that be individually or organizationally, put in the work and succeed in transforming their lives and reaching their goals. What sets me apart is my genuine passion for health and wellness and my love for helping others. I also have a dual Eastern and Western philosophy and approach to health and wellness from my Indian-American upbringing. And in being a wife and mom myself, I see and appreciate my clients as whole people with their own careers, families, passions, goals and aspirations. I want to help them be at their best in all the roles they play in their lives.

What are your plans for the future?
My company, Passion Fit, has reached it’s 10-year anniversary this year! I also have my second non-fiction book called, The Wellness-Evolved Woman™, coming out on November 1, 2024. In addition, we’ve recently launched some new healthy lifestyle products such as yoga mats, tumblers, journal notebooks and apparel on the Passion Fit online boutique. I’m excited to continue to help others and want to keep learning and growing. I’m also looking forward to spending quality time with my husband and sons and taking some fun vacations in the next year, as our sons are growing up fast!
