Today we’d like to introduce you to Salvador Adame.
Hi Salvador, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Where I am today is I am one of the Account Executives at Ticor Title, where I help Realtors and Lenders generate more leads and increase revenue for their business. Any business I help generate for them, in return, my team and I at Ticor will handle the Title Insurance and Escrow of the home. Now, where this all began is a whole different story. You got the time? Ok, let’s keep this thing going.
I graduated from San Diego State in 2014, and at the time, I was the Manager at Nutrishop overlooking three stores – Eastlake, Hillcrest, and Mission Valley locations. Fitness and overall health started at a young age in sports and carried through high school and college where I played strong and free safety for Humboldt State, suffered a knee injury that ultimately forced me to hang up the cleats. Transferred to SDSU the following year and finished my undergrad there.
I started getting involved in Real Estate with my parents at the age of 15 and was on and off of it until about 23. 23-25 is where I began to take sales and personal development more seriously. Twenty-six happened, and another gear was kicked in… my dad passed away in July of 2016, and I had this sense of regret that I did not achieve more for my dad to see. So I took that pain and did what I do best, Just kept it ongoing. Now, this was not always pretty. I had years of self-doubt and fear that I hid so well, but I always knew when it was game time – scared or not its time to strap up and run through someone’s face. I can remember getting back to my desk after a role-play during a sales meeting and I am just sweeeaaaattttttiinngggg. (Had to change shirt once – I spilt food on my last shirt if anyone was to ask).
My passion for helping business professionals achieve their business goals started at a company called Fortunebuilders. I was taken under the wing of some of the best Real Estate coaches and professionals to who I owe a lot of my career to. They gave me the tools I needed to not only build a real estate business but the mindset, grit, and insight on what it would take to play ball in the big leagues.
From here, many doors were opened – I was able to work for a handful of great companies (Financial Consulting, Real Estate Coaching, and Staffing were some of my verticals) where I would work business to business and create the relationship that would be needed so I was atop of mind whenever my service would fit their need. Everything was going great then heeeeeeeeere comes the pandemic – Covid19! I was furloughed and was back into Real Estate full-time because it was the only thing I knew I could do and do it well. But it was so different – I was grounded by the Government and could not leave my house – unless I had to golf or get food. I had to Golf, yes that is correct. Golf is a sweat game of stress that keeps you coming back. Let’s stay on track cause I can go on forever about Golf. I was doing this for about a year and a half, and it was fun, but something was missing. I did what I do best. Just kept it ongoing.
This year I was blessed with the opportunity to work at Ticor Title, and within a week, I found what had been missing these last almost two years – being resourceful and helping someone else get what they wanted out of life. Thats what it was. The business goals I help my clients achieve I know has two sides to them; one is the professional side where you have hit your numbers and you can walk away from the board hitting 120%+ of your goal, and the second side is more personal to them – I help a lot of men and women who are the sole income for their home and family. Sometimes this commission paycheck might be the first one that gets them out of that rut, and that is putting more food on the table, and other times it is the cushion and momentum that is about to take their life to the next level. I love to be a part of both – I am here for both rides.
This is my first year at Ticor Title, and I could not be more excited to plant my feet in a company that wants to see me grow professionally and personally just as much as I do, and I get to help some of the best Realtors and Lenders at the same time. Win/Win.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been the smoothest ride. What else can I say. Except this smooth ride I am talking about has been on fire (literally sometimes), and this smooth ride has peppered in some tears, anxiety, depression, breakthroughs, joy, and happiness. When I lost my dad, Salvador M. Adame. I think here is where I can say this is the hardest thing I have battled. I do not care what anyone says. No one can prepare you for the loss of a parent, Mom or Dad. For me, it’s my dad. I have never, never gone public or have told anyone the pain I have endured mourning the loss of my dad. I have always kept going, and I took what sports gave me – an attitude for winning that I was not going to let go. When I say there is one person I owe everything to, next to God, it is my dad. My mentors along my career have sharpened the tools my dad instilled into me from a young age; hardwork, tenacity, grit, strong, focus, patience, and the understanding that this life doesn’t owe me anything. I get out exactly what I put in.
It’s a really hard thing to explain. My dad’s passing felt to me like I lost everything and it caused me to spiral and spiral downward fast at times. The feeling of being not heard or understood of the pain I was feeling. The two times I opened up to a professional about it, sessions being canceled became more frequent and I wasn’t sure if it was me or the way I explained my thoughts and feelings, but I have always kept God in the center of my life and I know when my faith is being tested. So I did what I do best, Just kept it ongoing.
Where there is death, there is also life. The missing chunk of my heart that my dad took to heaven with him was replaced with something so good and great. A chunk was filled by my Fiance, and the rest of my heart was filled in by my son, Salvador Adame IV. That boy, I am telling you has taught me more about love, patience, and joy more than anyone thing can. He his absolutely heaven-sent and he reminds me so much of my dad. I always say he is a man stuck in a kid’s body. With him in my life, I have a new sense of purpose and drive that I have never felt before.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Sure! So what I mainly do is help Realtors and Lenders generate more leads and increase revenue in their businesses. For my newer clients who are new to the Real Estate realm, I hold weekly “power hours” where we go over foundational sales, relationship building, and professional goal-setting trainings. With all my clients, including seasoned Realtors, Lenders, Investors, and Commercial Brokers, I help with pre – during – post-marketing that includes social media tips and tricks for any listing that has been sold or refinanced. The purpose behind this is for my client to help within the neighbor or someone in a surrounding area.
What sets me apart from others is my passion to help and see another person winning. My clients are not just a shiny object, I need to attend to because I HAVE to make happy. I WANT to see my clients happy and succeeding in whatever way they see themselves, and in order for me to understand my client’s wants, needs, and desires, I need to build a relationship with them. Figure out what their communication style is like, what’s their strengths/weaknesses and how do we work them to our advantages, figuring out the details so I know how to lead them to their goals.
What does success mean to you?
I think success can be defined as the result of balance. When there is balance in your life, and I am talking absolute balance in EVERY area of your life; Physical, Spiritual, Mental, Finances, Social life, Parenting, Diet, Work, Boundaries from specific habits, friends, family. Where there is balance in the areas I mentioned is where you will find success. Am I saying I can’t be successful if I do not have balance in all these things, no. What I am saying is the constant pursuit of perfection and balance in my life always gives me something to work for. So I guess how I am defining success is being able to wake up healthy another day and get better at some area of my life.
