Hi Samantha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into photography started in a high school darkroom, where I became completely obsessed with the process of crafting the perfect image—from the lighting and composition to developing prints by hand. That early passion led me to pursue a degree in Fine Art Photography and Journalism, and by 20, I was already working as a full-time photographer.
Over the past 14 years, I’ve built a career rooted in storytelling and authenticity, specializing in editorial wedding and lifestyle photography, as well as commercial work. I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients—from couples and families to influencers and major brands—helping them define their vision and bring it to life through natural light, bold colors, and timeless imagery.
At the heart of it all, I’m deeply inspired by connection and emotion. I take a hands-on approach to ensure every session feels comfortable, collaborative, and unique to the people in front of my lens. Photography has always been more than a job—it’s how I tell stories, celebrate milestones, and create something beautiful that lasts.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road—but every bump along the way has shaped me into the photographer I am today. Building a creative career is rarely linear. It’s been years of trial and error—figuring out my niche, learning how to run a business, balancing passion with practicality, and navigating the ups and downs of freelancing. There were slow seasons, self-doubt, and plenty of moments where I had to pivot and evolve. But through it all, I stayed committed to growth, kept refining my craft, and never lost sight of why I started.

I’m an editorial wedding and commercial photographer based in San Diego, and I specialize in capturing real, emotional moments with a bold and timeless aesthetic. My work includes weddings, elopements, proposals, boudoir, family portraits, and commercial brand photography. I’m known for blending natural light with vibrant colors and creating imagery that feels both elevated and authentic.
What I’m most proud of is not only the trust I’ve built with my clients, but also being published in various magazines and online publications over the years. It’s incredibly rewarding to see my work recognized in that way.
What sets me apart is my ability to make my clients feel comfortable and confident. I provide a hands-on experience—guiding, posing, and directing throughout the shoot—so they never feel lost in front of the camera. My goal is always to create a space where clients can truly be themselves, resulting in photos that are honest, beautiful, and timeless.

- Commercial Content – $2500 + 4 hour lifestyle photo shoot. Planning, posing and overall shoot direction. Model casting (fees not included). Props (add-on fee). Professionally edited images. High-resolution Digital Images (est. 100-125). Online Gallery.
