Check Out Susanna Powell’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Susanna Powell.

Hi Susanna, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I moved to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in 1989. Running a restaurant and other businesses led me to Real Estate in the ’90s. I have raised my family and absolutely love the lifestyle that Los Cabos has to offer. It is my passion and privilege to be of service to people as they obtain their dreams.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
All roads are bumpy, and I don’t just mean the cobblestone ones in my beautiful neighborhood in Cabo El Pedregal! I have lived many adventures since arriving in Los Cabos at the age of 22. One of my struggles was missing family in Massachusetts. After having my children, we were blessed in the fact that my parents decided to winter in Cabo, which had a big impact on my children’s lives.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
It is my honor to represent Los Cabos Sotheby’s International Realty. When we are selling Our Listings, we can leverage the power of over 1000 Offices worldwide. My passion is matching people with their dream and because of my time in Los Cabos I not only know all the Luxury Developments but the Developers and their histories as well. This allows me to guide clients through a safe and seamless acquisition. My attention to detail and connections sets me apart from others. I have access to Directors of Golf, Owners, and Heads of Development throughout Los Cabos. I have a process to help match clients with the neighborhood that suits them and their lifestyle goals.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Finding a mentor in any business is invaluable, and I highly recommend it. Throughout my life, I have asked for guidance in whichever field I am in. I have been particularly lucky to have a lifelong friend who works with Sotheby’s International Realty In Scottsdale, Arizona. She has been an invaluable mentor for me. A teacher told me long ago, “The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask!” I’m never afraid to ask questions and find answers on behalf of my clients if I don’t know them already. Being open to constantly learn new ideas and get boots on the ground weekly touring new projects has really served me well.
