When I moved to San Diego, I applied at a medspa thinking it would be temporary, a way to balance bedside nursing and make a little extra. Over time, I noticed the joy in seeing people genuinely excited to see me. I remember thinking, “Me? Why?” That’s when it clicked: there’s more to this work than what you see in a mirror. What’s kept me here is the connection, watching someone arrive a little hesitant and leave standing more confident. That full circle feeling pushed me to pour myself into the craft: learning, refining technique, and focusing on natural, conservative results. I always pictured having my own space, and when the timing felt right, Glowtox came to life, a calm, welcoming studio built on honesty, safety, and helping you feel like the best version of you.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not. There were a lot of challenges as I evolved as an injector. Fast forward 10 years into the industry, starting Glowtox was a whole new world, and I had to learn an entirely different language. I knew my craft, the art and safety of injecting, but opening Glowtox meant learning how to run a business, something I had never done before. I am still learning every day. From negotiating the lease, speaking with attorneys, managing cash flow, ordering and tracking supplies, building systems, hiring and training, marketing, and social media were all things I had never had to think about before, and I had to learn them fast. It was not smooth, but it has been worth it. The lesson in it all was simple: integrity first, safety always. That steady approach is how Glowtox grew.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an Nurse Practitioner who specializes in conservative, natural-looking injectables. My focus is face balancing, neuromodulators, and dermal fillers with treatment plans that protect long-term skin health. I am known for honest consults, meticulous technique, and results that look like you, just rested. I spend time on the details that matter: clear education, realistic expectations, precise dosing, and thoughtful aftercare. If something is not in your best interest, I will say so and explain why. Safety is the standard, not a selling point.
At Glowtox, I build personalized plans rather than one-off syringes. That means we map goals, timelines, and budgets, and we keep your features intact while softening what bothers you.
I am most proud of the trust my patients place in me, and now Glowtox as a brand. People come back because they feel seen, heard, and never rushed. What sets me apart is that combination of clinical rigor and calm, human care. Glowtox feels warm and welcoming, and the work is precise and intentional. The lesson in it all is simple: lead with honesty, protect patient safety, and stay consistent. That steadiness is the foundation of Glowtox and the reason our results age well.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love the food scene here. The variety is incredible. I also love that I can walk to so many places in my neighborhood. It truly feels like home. I know my neighbors and the fellow business owners on my block, and that sense of community and support is everything. We cross refer, share resources, and cheer each other on. I bump into people at the farmers market, say hi to baristas by name, and team up for pop ups and charity events. Someone will text when a package arrives, lend a ladder, or send a client our way. It feels like a small town with ocean air and sunshine, and that day to day connection is my favorite part of living and working here.
What I like least is the homelessness. It makes me sad, especially because there is no simple solution. I care deeply about people’s dignity and safety, and I would love to see continued, collaborative efforts that prioritize mental health resources, housing, and real support systems. Our city feels its best when everyone is cared for.
