Today we’d like to introduce you to Travis Boerner.
Hi Travis, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My love for golf began at a young age, but it wasn’t until 2013 that I decided to turn my passion into a career. Since becoming a PGA Professional in 2016 and a Class-A member of the PGA of America in 2021, I’ve had the privilege of working at some remarkable venues throughout my career. These include my role as a golf professional at Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club for over 5 years and a Master Fitter at The Kingdom of TaylorMade for 2 years.
By 2024, I had gotten tired of the 9-5 lifestyle. One day my wife asked me if I could leave my current job and start any business, what would it be? And there began the dream of Coastal ClubWorks. I saw a gap in the industry when it came to customization and golf club repair, and knew we could do something to bridge that gap. With a vision to blend my passion for golf and creativity, we launched Coastal ClubWorks to offer personalized wedge stamping, expert golf club repair, and golf instruction. It’s been incredibly rewarding to take my passion for the game, and align it with the skills I have learned throughout my career. What started as a small garage setup has quickly turned into full-time business that allows me to stay close to the game I love while building a community around it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My wife and I started Coastal ClubWorks back in the Fall of 2024 when I was still working full time elsewhere. Because of that, we didn’t start going all out for our business until the beginning of this year. We are still very much in the beginning stages of our business. Our current focus is growing our brand awareness and creating amazing and unforgettable experiences for all of our clients.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
There has been a massive shift in the industry, heavily pointing towards a high demand in custom fitting. We believe that our business fits well into this category, and takes custom equipment to the next level.
