Today we’re excited to be connecting with Victoria Rose again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Victoria, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
Hi!
I am Victoria Rose, owner and lead planner of thatBliss Weddings. We are a wedding focused design and planning company based in North County San Diego. Our focus is mid-high end weddings for couples who love details but love each other more! While we are well versed in all the current wedding trends and can find new ways to bring old color palettes back to life, we also love thinking outside of the box and have recently had the pleasure of designing crazy themed events including a futuristic space event and surrealism themed event equips with all the weirdness we could think up.
Over the past two years I have been working on growing my team to include staff planners that work closely under me with our clients so we can have a wider reach. We often work at venues like Monserate Winery’s Vila de Fiore and Tuscan Estate, The Seabird and Mission Pacific, The Estancia, The Sinclair on G street, and private estates.
While our reach has grown, I have not always been a wedding planner and in a past life was a Researcher studying blast exposure and brain injury with Navy SEALs. Being a wedding planner kind of fell into my lap and I haven’t looked back since!
Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
I have had the honor of planning some huge events like the grand opening of Monserate Winery’s Villa de Fiore and a planner exclusive surrealism event at The Mission Pacific. We are working hard to expand our relationships and team. Our current wedding load has doubled for the year and we expect to see it tripled by the end of the 2025 season.
While all this growth has been such a blessing, I have also been navigating having a growing business and a 2.5 year old little boy who keeps me on my toes. It has been interesting navigating my work load and mom duties, but I wouldn’t change it. This business has given me the freedom to be home with my son the majority of the time and for that, I am forever grateful!
We are so excited about our clients for 2025 as we have amazing couples who have design heavy visions and we can’t wait to push the envelope with them.
We also want to give folks a chance to get to know you a bit better so we’ve prepared a fun lightning round of questions. Ready?
