Today we’d like to introduce you to Yuto Hikosaka.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Since childhood, I aspired to become a baker. After about 10 years of enduring hardships and training, I met my current mentor, which led me to where I am today.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was by no means a smooth path. There were times when I clashed with the master who taught me breadmaking and even quit the shop.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I currently make the bread served at the café where I work. Everything related to breadmaking is my specialty. I take pride in faithfully following the basics and carefully crafting each item one by one. Above all, my greatest wish and what sets me apart is to bring joy to the customers who come to buy our bread.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Deciding to work in America, not being able to speak English, and it being my first time abroad. All of this was not only a tremendous challenge for me but also a decision with significant risks. Taking such risks is never easy, but I believe that whether I succeed or fail, it will all become valuable experience
