Today we’d like to introduce you to Tokeli.
Tokeli, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
As an artist, I have worked in many mediums: I have been a jazz singer, a musical theatre director, a painter and writer. Since a traumatic fall down a flight of stairs, I have experienced something called synesthesia where I feel that my senses are connected. I see color and hear music simultaneously. I hear music and see pictures and stories simultaneously and spontaneously. I feel that everything is connected. I have a strong feeling that I have also somehow activated a “sixth sense” since the fall. I have had many psionic (paranormal) experiences since then and a great deal of “verification,” so I can no longer deny that this is happening to me and it is embedding into the work. My paintings are each accompanied by a philosophical writing or story which has come to me in morning vision, downloaded spontaneously from I don’t know where.
There are signs and symbols everywhere. There are messages from a Greater Reality that I know with certainty that I did not know before. All of this has become very clear in the artistic work: paintings of the Other Side, energies, entities, ideas, and prophetic lyrics in my music. I was very timid about sharing this information for almost a year. I’m not afraid to tell this story anymore. I do not fear judgement. I will only tell the Truth as I see in my current understanding, each day. I will continue to paint the Truth too.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
Paintings: mixed media on canvas. Pictures of energy, what music sound “looks” like, what it feels like to channel, stories of people I have never known in this lifetime but somehow know them well, angels, battles, etc. Music: original jazz compositions with lyrics. Stories of “falling” were written some four years before I fell down the stairs, along with stories of reincarnation, visions, gnostics, and truthtellers. Writing: My exhibition book became a larger work with metaphysics, philosophy, stories and ideas. I wrote this book in matter of weeks. After the fall, I became very prolific, finishing a great deal of work quickly, compelled to continue.
How can artists connect with other artists?
One can only be true to herself. That is really all there is.
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
