Check out Trae Sjogren’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trae Sjogren.

Trae, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I began making music videos in high school, then transitioned into freelance graphic design when I graduated. Was assistant teaching courses at my high school by age 19.

Ended up skipping college and became focused on motion graphics. Worked with multiple agencies from age 18-25. Which has given me the opportunity to work on projects for brands and events such as FOX Sports, Time Warner News, the Winter Olympics, Super Bowl LII, Green Bay Packers, SAG-AFTRA, iHeart Radio, and many more?

I’m currently running my own agency that helps other creative teams run more efficiently while providing a platform to help new creatives develop professionally.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I wouldn’t necessarily consider myself an “artist” as my work is more objective based, whereas art is primarily subjective.

The “art” I make now is orchestrating a happy, and fulfilled creative team while improving design processes. I try to focus on providing creative direction through the lens of a business owner. I hope to help people realize working efficiently is working creatively.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
The biggest challenge for today’s artists is finding the right balance of challenge and stability, or reason and imagination.

Overall I believe life has become easier for artists. We have access to incredible tools and we’re in a strong economy, and the arts benefit from strong economies.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
My personal motion design work can be found at trae.tv. You can support my work by having coffee with me and sharing your experience as a creator.
