Today we’d like to introduce you to Alison Jarnagan
Hi Alison, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Wow, where to start! Since I was a little girl, I have always had a love for design and fashion. I loved decorating, trying new outfits, redesigning a space, etc. I got married when I was 23 and had three children over the following 7 years. During that time, I really channeled my creative side towards being a wife and a stay at home mother. Redesigning our home, being creative with the kids and just making our space into a place of joy and peace. In 2020, my husband was involved in a dirt bike accident that he didn’t survive. This was completely life changing to say the least. Our whole world was turned upside down in a moment. About a year later, I felt the urge to create something again. Something that would be a place of peace, and joy. Something to honor who my husband was and who God is in our lives. That is where Honey comes in! Our “slogan” is “Life is Sweet”, this is to really remind every person who walks in the door that everyday is sweet, each moment we have together is a gift. My husband was the most loving, sweetest, kindest person I have ever known. His traits truly resemble the love of God and that has been my hope for Honey. For it to be a place where there is peace, where people feel loved and valued. The way we see ourselves is so important; my hope is that Honey is a spot where you know you were made on purpose for a purpose.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly, it has been so smooth! From the moment I had the idea, it just seemed like everything fell into place. This community has been incredible to say the least.
We’ve been impressed with Honey Boutique, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We offer a wide range of women’s clothing, accessories, gifts and shoes. My goal has always been to have timeless pieces. Items that will be treasured in your closet and not just the latest trend. I am so proud of what has been created here at Honey. Every single day we have someone new walk in who says “something feels different about this place”.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Yes! I have the greatest friends and family who have supported me the whole way! They gave me so much encouragement and confidence to do what I love to do.
