Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Ravansari.
Hi Chelsea, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
From a very young age, I was enamored with all things beauty. I would watch other people doing their makeup and loved to get my hands on my mom’s or older sister’s makeup. l’d read beauty magazines about the latest hairstyling techniques and try them out. It was actually a Cosmogirl magazine that informed me that having a career as a makeup artist was even a thing! So in 2007, I sealed my fate that I’d go to beauty school after high school, and that’s just what I did. I got my first paying photo shoot soon after, but I spent a couple of years trading my time and skills for photos and growing my network. I even spent a few months in L.A. working on budget film sets but realized I didn’t quite love the slow pace. When I fell into the bridal world in 2012, I felt I truly found my area of expertise. After a few years of working under bridal teams and in beauty retail stores, I felt ready to go out on my own. So in 2015, I forged Chelsea Rose Beauty. It took me a couple of wedding seasons to hone in on my style but by 2017 l had finally created a full-time bridal business.
But I am no longer just a hair and makeup artist…
I’ve always been drawn to self-improvement and wanting to help people. Over time, I’ve found myself going through many courses, reading self-improvement books, going to therapy, and much more. Since 2020, I’ve heavily invested my time into healing my mindset, enhancing my wellness, honing in on my life’s vision, and building my confidence so I could trust my decisions in life and business. As a result, I found myself hosting self-care challenges and even launched a bridal self-care program. This has led me to enroll in life coaching school so I’ll be certified by the end of this year!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My biggest struggles have been mostly personal. I’ve had to overcome imposter syndrome, perfectionism, procrastination, feelings of unworthiness, a poor money mindset, lack of confidence, the list goes on and on and there are still some days old “bad” habits or thoughts that try to sneak in and I have to tackle them on the spot.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am on a mission to help women find their confidence through impactful self-care habits. In the beauty portion of my business, clients book me for my radiant and enhanced airbrush makeup looks and timeless, romantic hairstyles. I love to treat my clients with a pampering service, and for my brides, an extra special treat of aromatherapy and facial rolling. As for the coaching side of my business, I saw a huge gap in the bridal wellness space and wanted to fill it with a well-rounded self-care program to mentally, emotionally, and physically prepare brides for such a major event in their lives. It’s essentially a manual for brides to become more confident and blissful by the wedding day. And although I based this around the wedding day, I love that brides can take these methods and tools and use them in everyday life!
