Today we’d like to introduce you to Conor Foley.
Hi Conor, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in Manhattan Beach, CA and was exposed to sports very early on. I settled on volleyball where I ended up playing at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2013, I graduated with a BS in Kinesiology before taking an internship at the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) in Colorado Springs, CO. I had the opportunity to work with olympic athletes (Judo and Figure Skating), the Colorado College D1 hockey team, and the Colorado Springs SWAT team.
Upon completing my internship, I received a job to be the Director of Sports Performance at Redline Athletics in Temecula, CA. From 2015-2018, I worked with a wide range of athletes from age 8 to college baseball players in their 20’s.
Wanting to be closer to the beach, I moved to San Diego in August 2018 where I got jobs at F45 and Renegade specializing in group fitness.
When the pandemic hit in 2020 and all businesses shut down, I viewed this more as an opportunity versus a burden. I completed my Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certification and constructed a gym where I trained clients out of for 4 years. In 2025, I needed to expand in scale and in space in order to train for clients which now lead me to train out of MB Performance SD.
My mission is to empower and motivate others to take steps towards bettering themselves. A healthy lifestyle is more than just working out and eating right- It’s also about practicing mindfulness, building relationships, and forming habits to help you discover the unlocked potential you never knew you had.
Life is about balance and enjoying the journey to success; whatever that success means to you. I enjoy getting you there with hard work, but with even harder laughs. I believe in getting 1% better every day throughout this journey, and letting the compound interest of success lead you to your desired goals.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest obstacle has been the ability to make myself standout amount the countless gyms, studios, personal trainers, etc. Health and fitness is very important to people here in San Diego which on one hand, is amazing. However, this leads to many health and fitness businesses to meet that demand. Within a half mile radius out of the gym I train clients at, there are 5 other gyms, 4 yoga studios, 3 Pilates studios, and over a dozen other personal trainers. I spend as much time as I can fit into my schedule to post on social media and to do search engine optimization (SEO) for my website. It’s a lot of tedious, yet necessary work to get my name and image out there.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about FFIT?
FFIT primarily focuses on Personal Training, Semi-Private Training, and Nutrition Coaching. We specialize in resistance training as well as corrective exercises to address prior injuries and/or muscle imbalances. I’m known for being a funny, quirky, yet motivating wave of energy to each session for my clients. I want them to feel empowered and well informed when it comes to training with me. I am most proud of how welcoming I try and make training sessions to be, especially for those who are hesitant to start a fitness journey. I have some of the most competitive pricing when compared to other trainers in San Diego.
What makes you happy?
I’m a firm believer on spreading as much joy as possible. Joy and happiness is infectious. So if I can help someone feel confident in themselves, and feel good both physically and mentally then they can take that feeling and spread it to their family, friends, loved ones, etc. Which in turn puts out more good vibes and energy to the rest of the community. And all that takes is just one hour with someone to challenge them, to push them, to motivate them to accomplish their goal in those 60 minutes.
Pricing:
- Personal Training: $70-$100/session
- Semi-Private Training: $50-$80/session
- Nutrition Coaching: $100-$200/month
