I AM A REALTOR SPECIALIZING IN TRUSTS AND PROBATE AND HAVE BEEN IN THE REAL ESTATE PROFESSION FOR 13 YEARS. I FEEL STRONGLY THAT BEING SELF RELIANT AND BEING AN ENTREPRENEUR ALLOWS A PERSON TO CONTROL THEIR OWN DESTINY. NO RISK, NO REWARD. I STARTED WORKING 7 DAYS A WEEK WHEN I WAS 12 YEARS OLD AS A PAPER ROUTE GIRL FOR THE DAILY BREEZE IN LOS ANGELES. I LEARNED AT A YOUNG AGE TO TAKE PRIDE IN MY WORK AND HAVE ALWAYS STRIVED TO BE THE BEST AT IN EVERY PROFESSION. MY FATHER IS FROM CUBA AND MY MOTHER IS FROM EL SALVADOR AND THEY BOTH IMMIGRATED IN THE 1950’S AND LEFT EVERYTHING BEHIND IN THEIR COUNTRIES TO COME TO THE USA TO BUILD A BETTER LIFE FOR MY 2 BROTHERS AND I. THEY TAUGHT ME THAT EDUCATION AND A STRONG WORK ETHIC ARE MOST IMPORTANT IN ORDER TO SUCCEED. I GRADUATED FROM SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY WITH AN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS DEGREE AND SPECIALIZED IN MARKETING SO I APPLY SOME OF THE MARKETING TECHNIQUES I LEARNED FROM MY STUDIES AND FROM THE TECHNOLOGY CORPORATIONS I WORKED FOR. I SPENT 14 YEARS IN THE TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY PRIOR TO REAL ESTATE AS A SOFTWARE SALES AND MARKET ANALYST EXECUTIVE BUT IT LEFT ME FEELING UNFILLED AND NEEDED A GREATER PURPOSE IN MY WORK.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
IT WAS NOT A SMOOTH ROAD. I SPENT THE FIRST 4 YEARS IN REAL ESTATE WORKING 7 DAYS A WEEK AND WITHOUT ANY VACATION. IT TOOK YEARS OF SACRIFICE AND TIGHT BUDGETING AND KEEPING OVERHEAD LOW. I FOCUSED ON WAYS I COULD GENERATE CLIENTS WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF EXPENDITURE SO I WOULD COLD CALL REALTORS AND ASK THEM IF I COULD HOLD THEIR LISTINGS OPEN ON THE WEEKENDS AND WOULD ALSO CALL MY FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES FROM THE TECH INDUSTRY AND ASKED IF I COULD BE THEIR REALTOR AND FORTUNATELY, THEY HIRED ME TO REPRESENT THEM SO THAT HELPED GET MY BUSINESS OFF THE GROUND. THE FIRST 10 YEARS IN REAL ESTATE FELT LIKE A ROLLERCOASTER RIDE, MANY UPS AND DOWNS AND SOMETIMES I WOULD GO 6 MONTHS WITHOUT A SALE BUT STILL I PERSISTED AND TOLD MYSELF FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION AND I USED MY SELF DRIVE TO MOTIVATE MYSELF TO KEEP GOING.

HEARING MY CLIENTS THANK ME FOR GUIDING THEM THROUGH A COMPLEX REAL ESTATE TRANSACTION. FOR MOST PEOPLE, THEIR REAL ESTATE ASSET IS THEIR LARGEST FINANCIAL ASSET. I BELIEVE THAT BEING A REALTOR MEANS BEING AN EXPERT AND PROVIDING A CONSULTATIVE ADVISOR APPROACH PROVIDING A HASSLE AND STRESS FREE EXPERIENCE FOR MY CLIENTS WHEN SELLING REAL ESTATE. WE SPEND MORE TIME IN OUR WORK THAN WITH OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND I TRULY LOVE MY WORK, IT IS MY PASSION AND PURPOSE IN LIFE. I AM SO GRATEFUL TO HAVE FOUND WORK THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE.
