Community Highlights: Meet Ariel B of ESB Cafe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ariel B.

Hi Ariel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was a cook/ chef or in the food industry for 20 years, At the beginning of 2019 the restaurant that I was working closed permanently. Leaving myself unemployed for a few months. Thankfully a family member came across someone that was selling a coffee cart. My wife and I decided to take a look at the possible business opportunity. We love coffee, we enjoy drinking it, and so we wanted to share the passion that we have for coffee.

This goes back when we were kids growing up; our grandparent would give us coffee as a breakfast treat, it created great memories.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
When we first opened on Dec 2019, we did not have a clue how to run a coffee shop. We only knew how to drink and enjoy a cup of coffee but never had an idea how to pull a perfect espresso shot.

It was quite a challenge the first year, it took some time for the neighbors and locals to trust us; as we were another new owner in the neighborhood.

After of being open for a few months, the pandemic came, and we thought that we were not going to make it, but it actually worked in favor as we were never required to closed.

We as of today are very Thankful and Grateful for the trust and the support of our local customers.
