Today we’d like to introduce you to Galina Schoettger.
Hi Galina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have been lucky enough to experience lots of traveling in my life. On my journeys, I discovered some of the prettiest materials and prints that this world has to offer. I was always into sewing and design as a hobby and knew that I had to somehow find a way to share these styles and materials from around the world. I spent many hours interpreting traditional styles of clothing into products with a modern twist. After many failed designs I was finally able to create the ultimate modern kimono that was influenced by Japan. I made great connections on my travels and was able to quickly source some of the finest materials from around the world to bring my vision to life. I envisioned a brand that would empower women to be the best and strongest versions of themselves.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I have been learning the whole way through this project. From setting up manufacturing to making sure that the products are only of the finest quality, which requires a lot of work and time. We have a great team and I love everybody that I am working with. My son helps me with the marketing side of the business and I try to focus on the designs and manufacturing. Other than some small family bickering it has been super fun to get this project off the ground:). We still have a long road ahead of us but we’re slowly moving in the right direction.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in women’s fashion. Our goal is to source the highest quality materials from around the world and create styles that will be timeless. We are currently best known for our large selection of kimonos; I think the thing that sets us apart from other brands is the detail to quality we provide.
Any big plans?
I would like to continue growing the brand and expanding our product line.
