Community Highlights: Meet Justin Days of Shredded Days Fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Days.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
How I got start with personal training was for mental health and stress relief during COVID-19 times. So many things going wrong, I have to make sure that I stayed right. I started training out of my small garage to build up a sweat and to try to stay healthy.

A few friends wanted to work out with me, I had them join and wear a mask. A couple.
Of weeks later, a few people wanted me to train them because they see my results. I told them it was mostly a mental thing for me. My physique followed. They were inspired and started training with me immediately.

I had a great time training in my small garage, and getting to know some people on a personal level while keeping things professional. You would be surprised of what some people been through and how they overcome things mentally.

I took the opportunity to educate myself further and occupied a few certification through NASM. I also have great friends that work in the medical field with me that share great knowledge/experience from different departments such as the Emergency room, ICU, Nutrition, etc. They helped me to become a better trainer and coach.

Although training was a financial struggle for me, I stuck to it because I believed in myself and those that trained with me. Most of all I loved seeing the mentality and physical body change from there hard work. I felt like I had normal people walking into my small garage, and fitness models walking out haha. I feel there was less destructions and more people focused on health and fitness during COVID times.

After some time, I decided to work out of a few private owned gyms in San Diego. My experience has been great training at those facilities. Soaking up alot about the dynamics, settings and what it takes to run a facility. I thought of so many great add-on ideas that will be exciting for clients and members to enjoy while at the gym. To remind and inspire members to stay consistent. I inspire to have a building of my own to manage one day. I love working with the ladies and gentlemen in the gym.

I am currently training in the El Cajon location at the Stallion Fitness gym. A nice family respectful gym. I train at different locations as well and also have special events such as beach runs, stair runs, holiday outings ect. I enjoy the camaraderie of great people. I except people for who they are. Respect, understanding and kindness is key. Of course we have to laugh haha. I appreciate my clients, I respect the gym that I’m at and I love being a coach that cares.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
A few obstacles that I encounter from newcomers are are afraid. I say don’t be the workout will not be to the extreme that you may see me do. financial hardships. I try to be flexible but firm. Others challenges involved inconsistency. I understand that the gym is not life but I teach it can be a strong foundation to your household (metaphorically speaking). For the most part it has been enjoyable and fun 🙂

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Shredded Days Fitness?
I’m a small growing business. Been training for over 8 years. I specialize in life coaching, strength training, weight loss, calisthenics, and recovery training to name a few.

My ability to perform above average sets me apart from others. Not just my personal calisthenics skills and physique but the relationships I have with my clients. They can be themselves and train at there level.

I’m prode that I have helped over hundreds of people mentally and physically over time.

I want people to know that I’m always open to new clients and your goal in our goals to reach in your health and fitness journey. I have special offers and free events for people to join.

How do you think about luck?
It was my luck that I got into a motorcycle accident. I fracture my back and broke 2 bones in my foot. I didn’t think I’ll recover and become a stronger as time went by, The doctor said, “I wasn’t expecting you to recover this quick”. He said, thank God and good for you that you are in good shap. My luck played a big role my training and why I train to this day. Not just for a look but for a strong foundation and friendships.
