Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Dreyer.
Hi Lisa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Like many women, I’ve gone through seasons of life where getting dressed felt easy—and other seasons where it felt overwhelming. I’ve always loved fashion, but more than that, I’ve loved how the right outfit can completely change how a woman feels about herself.
What first drew me to cabi was not just the clothes, but the purpose behind them. I saw a company that truly celebrates women—their bodies, their lifestyles, and their individuality. cabi isn’t about trends or rules; it’s about helping women feel confident, comfortable, and authentically themselves.
After retiring from over 30 years in education, I missed the connections with the people I worked alongside all those years. I was invited to a show, became enthralled with the clothes and company behind them, so I decided to take a leap of faith.
Becoming a cabi stylist allowed me to turn something I love into something meaningful. I get to build real relationships, listen to women’s stories, and help them see themselves in a new light—sometimes even before they see it themselves.
What I love most about my job is that it’s never just about clothing. It’s about confidence. It’s about simplifying life. It’s about creating a fun, welcoming experience where women feel supported, encouraged, and seen.
My goal is to make getting dressed easier, more joyful, and more personalized. I want women to walk away feeling confident in their wardrobe and excited about what they’re wearing—because when you feel good, it shows in every part of your life.
I’m so grateful to be part of this who gives back to many communities. To date, cabi has donated over $68 million to women entrepreneurs, education in Rwanda, education in the United States, disaster relief and Love Local Events. This fills the piece of me who loves generosity and helping others. I was able to participate in giving back to the local community in May 2025. I was chosen to be a Love Local Leader (see picture attached). I led a team of local stylists and a few VIP clients in an event at the East County Transitional Living Center. We partnered with this local non-profit organization and were able to bless approximately 75 women with brand new cabi clothing. It was the most rewarding experience to see the joy and excitement on the womens’ faces, see them walk with confidence and hope into the future. This is something I hope to duplicate year after year with local non-profit organizations.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Running a business and very different from running a large department in a school district. In my first career, my schedule was not very flexible and my life was run by the school calendar, meetings, and commitments.
In running my own business, I find that managing my time and calendar presents itself with different challenges and requires a great deal of self-discipline, planning, and organization.
Some of the struggles I have experienced along the way have been finding a system to stay organized and provide excellent care to my cabi ladies through personal shopping, follow up, and time to connect on a personal level to foster connections and friendships.
I didn’t initially start with the mindset of building a team, however, when others see enthusiasm, it is inviting. I am now blessed with two team members who make this journey even more joyful.
We’ve been impressed with Cabi Style by Lisa, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Describing the Role of a cabi Stylist:
As a cabi stylist, my role goes far beyond selling clothing. I work as a personal style partner for women, helping them feel confident, comfortable, and authentic in what they wear. I guide clients through the process of discovering their personal style and building a wardrobe that supports their real lives—whether that’s work, family, travel, or special moments in between.
What I Do:
I provide personalized styling experiences through gathering with small or large groups of women for a full cabi fashion experience, one-on-one appointments and small, curated fashion events, both in person and virtually. Each experience is tailored to the individual client(s). I help women understand how to put outfits together, how to style pieces multiple ways, and how to invest in clothing that truly works for them long-term.
Rather than focusing on trends alone, I focus on creating complete looks and teaching women how to wear them with confidence.
What I Specialize In:
I specialize in helping women at all stages of life feel confident in their wardrobe. Many of my clients come to me feeling unsure of their style or stuck wearing the same pieces over and over. I help them step outside their comfort zone in a way that still feels natural and empowering.
My approach is supportive, practical, and centered on helping women feel good in their own skin.
What Sets Me Apart:
What sets me apart is the personal connection. I take time to listen, understand my clients’ lifestyles, and build relationships based on trust. I believe style should feel accessible and enjoyable, not intimidating.
My clients often tell me they appreciate my honest guidance, attention to detail, and the confidence they gain—not just in their wardrobe, but in themselves.
What Readers Should Know:
Working with a cabi stylist is not about fitting into a certain mold. It’s about being seen, supported, and styled in a way that reflects who you are. You don’t need to know your style going in—that’s part of the journey. My goal is to make getting dressed easier, more intentional, and something women actually enjoy again.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very much a tomboy—always outside, always moving. Sports played a big role in my life, and by high school I was competing in basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Volleyball, in particular, became a lifelong passion that I carried with me into adult leagues well into my forties.
As the tallest girl throughout elementary school, I was also deeply self-conscious, and for a long time I tried to balance that insecurity by making sure I always looked put together. My outfits had to match, and accessories were never an afterthought—they became a way for me to feel confident and in control of how I showed up in the world. To support myself through college, I was employed at several clothing stores which allowed me to share my creative side and love for clothes with our customers.
Alongside that, I’ve always been kind and caring toward others, naturally drawn to creativity, connection, and encouraging people around me. I’ve always been involved in social groups and ministries. Looking back, those early experiences shaped both my resilience and my appreciation for how style can be a powerful tool for self-expression and confidence.
