Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Smilow.
Hi Melissa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey to heal myself hasn’t always been easy. I’ve always been extremely sensitive to things, even as a child. That would manifest in food sensitivity, allergies, and other imbalances. As an adult, it got much worse, and after food poisoning in Mexico, I knew that I needed to help my body heal. Regular doctors weren’t helping, so a friend recommended a Nutritional Healer, he was very intuitive, offering holistic foods and supplements to help my body finally start to heal. After a month of being on his protocol, I noticed I didn’t have stomach pain and my energy was better. It felt life-changing and convinced me to pursue a career in Nutrition.
Around that time, I was also referred to an Energy Healer; it made me realize how much stagnant/blocked energy I was carrying and how much that affected me physically and emotionally in my daily life. This negative energy would contribute to toxic relationships, friendships and the need to people please. It also contributed to pain and ailments in my body. Again, I felt such profound transformation after each session and knew I was meant to be a Healer. I received my certification as a Nutritional Therapist and Reiki Master around 2017; I can’t tell you how much I love my job and being able to support my clients through powerful healing, I have clients all over the U.S., and I’m so grateful!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Processing my own self-healing journey along with helping others can be hard at times, as well as starting your own business and navigating it through Covid…so yes, definitely struggles but they are always lessons and coupled with beautiful moments as well. I feel grateful to have an unconventional job and feel like my clients are soul sisters!
We’ve been impressed with Melissa Smilow LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m a Nutritional and Energy Healer, Reiki Master, and Intuitive Counselor. I work with clients from a holistic, intuitive, bio-individual perspective, offering holistic tools and spiritual medicine to help clients heal and empower themselves. I offer 1:1 Healing Journey Programs, Intuitive Nutrition, Energy Healing, Individual & Couples Intuitive Counseling, Spiritual Retreats, and Reiki Certification.
Most of the clients I draw in are empathetic, and many of them I’ve attuned to become Master Healers. I think what sets me apart is my intuitive approach; I receive psychic feedback that I can utilize during a 6 Month Program or Session. I look into the root cause of a physical or emotional ailment versus just trying to put a band-aid on the symptom. So much of how I help clients is from my own healing journey, using food and supplements as medicine and Reiki Energy Healing to clear negative energy. My clients have healed from anxiety, depression, pain, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, toxic relationships, low self-worth, and many of them feel much more guided on their life path. I’m so honored to help facilitate this!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
That I used to be a professional singer and dancer, I loved it!
