Community Highlights: Meet Ryan Belcher of OneClick Media Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Belcher.

Hi Ryan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in digital marketing right out of college in 2011, cutting my teeth in SEO sales at a boutique agency in Rancho Bernardo before moving onto their SEO/Paid Media team. There, I sharpened my craft with respected local brands like La Valencia Hotel, L’Auberge Resorts, Rancho Valencia Resort, Valley View Casino, and Massage Envy. That momentum led me into specialized roles—running a team at a San Diego healthcare agency—where I deepened my SEO, PPC, and Local SEO expertise. Eventually I took a senior position at a major agency, leading enterprise programs for Fortune 500 brands including Anthem, T-Mobile, Terminix, PayPal, Lenovo, and Sony. Along the way, I quietly built my own consultancy—pitching over Zoom from my car on lunch breaks and delivering audits after hours. OneClick Media Group was founded in 2016 and, by 2020, I left the agency world to run it full-time. Today, we specialize in SEO, PPC, Paid Social, and Local SEO for small and mid-sized businesses—bringing enterprise-level rigor at a price point built for growing companies.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every business will hit its challenges and I think Covid was a tough time for us all, especially since this was really the inception of OneClick Media Group. The transition from the agency world to running a company full time in March, 2020 certainly wasn’t the best timing and made hiring a challenge, though we made it over the Covid hump and are in an amazing place today. We’re so proud and happy with the client list we work with today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about OneClick Media Group?
We’re a boutique digital marketing agency in San Diego that specializes in SEO, Local SEO, PPC, Paid Social, and Web Development for small and mid-sized businesses. I started this company to provide enterprise-level services at prices built for growing companies. Rooted in enterprise experience, we deliver audits and action plans that outclass the standard agency playbook—and it shows in our clients’ top search, local results, and AI ranking results.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I’ve learned that relationships—with clients and with my team—are the real performance drivers. The better we understand a client’s story, business model, and audience, the more seamlessly we can plug in and build programs that align not just to keywords, but to real needs and challenges. And the more I invest in my team’s strengths and passions, the more we unlock their best work—so strategy, execution, and results all move in the same direction.
